Crane Operations Manager & Senior Inspector
Biography
Richard is the Kent Crane Operations Manager as well as a Senior Crane Inspector with over 10 years in the crane and lifting industries. He received extensive education from domestic and international institutions and holds certifications as a Construction Crane Certifier and Category 4 Elevator Mechanic. Richard’s further accreditations apply to temporary hoist & construction elevators as well as crane driving control systems. In addition to managing the inspection operations of the Pacific and Pacific Northwest, he also leads our expansion into the Midwest and Eastern regions of the country, operating out of Pella, IA.
Richard’s career started by forming a technical background in the United States Intelligence Community. He was an Intelligence Surveillance Reconnaissance Systems Engineer for the United States Marine Corps from 2008-2013. After the military, he continued his technical education working as a field service technician for one of the nation’s most prestigious tower crane suppliers, Morrow Equipment. His hands-on experience with programming, forensic inspection, root cause analysis, troubleshooting & repair of electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems has bolstered our dynamic team and added to the pool of knowledge and resources maintained at Kent Crane Inspection and Engineering.
