
Biography
Tom Higgins has over 35 years of experience in structural engineering and design document preparation, including the design of buildings and non-building structures. He is a registered professional engineer in both Washington and Oregon. He holds a bachelors of Arts and Design from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a bachelors in Civil Engineering from University of Houston. Tom is highly skilled in the design of steel structures, including composite design, conventional concrete structures, and post-tensioned concrete structures, with special expertise in the evaluation of punching shear. Tom also has significant experience in the design of heavy-equipment accessories such as buckets, thumbs and quick connects, as well as tower crane and construction hoist foundations and attachments.
