At KE | AD, we specialize in providing comprehensive architectural and engineering construction administration support services. Our team of professionals include licensed architects and engineers as well as individuals that have general contracting backgrounds. This team brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the construction process.
Our proactive approach identifies and addresses potential issues before they escalate, mitigating risks and creating a smoother construction or repair process. We implement robust quality control and assurance measures, offering regular inspections to confirm that construction activities align with project specifications, design requirements and code regulations. We prioritize clear communication, responsiveness, and client satisfaction, building long-lasting partnerships based on trust and reliability.
Our team will support our clients through all phases of their project from initial investigation to final completion certifications:
- Investigative, Testing and Reporting: Our foundation is in root cause failure analysis and forensic investigations. Our targeted investigations include document review, system performance testing, commissioning review, data logging, and ASTM testing. Diagnosing issues with advanced troubleshooting knowledge and tools is our specialty.
- Scope of Repair Documents: We develop SOR documents with recommendations for remediation, material, and application protocol.
- Construction Documents (CD): We can create, review or manage other CD's, depending on when we enter the project. Our thorough review process ensures accuracy and compliance with design intent, codes, and regulations, minimizing the risk of errors during the construction phase. Our background of failure analysis and construction defect investigation assists in identifying potential issues before they are implemented in the construction.
- Bidding and Negotiation: We coordinate the bidding of work with qualified General Contractors and subcontractors. We assist the client in the process of finalizing negotiations concerning the cost of work and scope of work.
- Construction Contract: We support the client’s legal counsel or management in drafting of the Contract for Construction between the Owner and the Contractor. We utilize the AIA contract templates to stay true to industry standards.
- Construction Contract Administration (CCA): Our team facilitates proactive and detailed communication and coordination between contractors, architects, and engineers, thus fostering a collaborative environment that enhances project efficiency. Our team conducts regular field reviews to ensure quality of work and document deficiencies. Our experienced team will take the time to work with the contractor to assist in training the crew members and supervisors to minimize repeat quality issues and provide value to all parties.
